A hazed orangey-golden body topped by a massive, frothy offwhite head. Strong and inviting citric and floral hop aroma paired with a light peppery, caramellish and deliciously sweet malt scent. Taste has light sweet, well prononced, yet soft malt base, balanced by a grassy and fruity hopbitterness. Notes of mild spices and pine. Well-bodied. Smooth. A fine bitterness in the finish. Powerful, clean and balanced. I like this beer a lot. vyvvy (2044), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2008 More gratitude to the STL guys for sharing another choice beer. Pours golden / amber with a light off-white head. The aroma has lots of pils malt, grassy hops, cream, smoothness, some sugariness, light onions and grapefruit. Medium crisp body with normal pils style carbonation. The flavor starts more pils-like than most of these impy pils beers. It is grassy with lightly sweet pale malt ans spicy. The finish remain grassy and is very clean. Nice beer. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

This beer seems off-style for a European Strong Lager, but I’m OK with that. Sort of an Imperial IPA done with lager yeast - a Baltic IPA? Pours a hazy bright copper with a fluffy white head. Nice pineapple and grapefruit nose. Taste of citrus over caramel. Building bitter finish.
