Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

bottle poured an orange amber in color with a thick foamy off white head. aroma has caramel malt, light citrus, bitter hops, fruit, and flowers. mouth feel is medium an there is plenty of frothy carbonation. flavor has a sweet malted base, creeping bitterness, flowers, honey, light citrus, and some yeast. all the flavor do go well with one another.

750 ml bottle. Finland.
Clear amber/orange colour with small off-white head. Fruity bitter hoppy aroma. Lots of maltiness and bitter hoppiness in flavour. Some yeast and alcohol warmth. Is this really Strong Lager? If so, very good.

Bottle. Aroma moderately sweet and fruity, very hoppy. Hazy orange golden body, huge thick fluffy white head. Sweet fruity flavor that develops into a nice hoppy bitterness with a crisp finish. Excellent and tasty.

Translucent, yellowy brown color with an active, foamy white head that laced the glass. Strong aroma of citrus, hop oils, and slight pine with a hint of grass in the back. Flavor was well balanced, crisp but light malt, citrus and fruity hops, a touch grainy and a touch sugary. Finish is dry and crisp and just a tad syrupy. Very good session beer, I had no problem putting back the whole 750ml.

Bottle from BEERmerchants.com. Amber with a thick and lasting off white foam which coats the glass. Nose is sweet biscuity malt, caramel, honey and lots of resinous grapefruit and floral hop notes. Flavor is much the same, good piney grapefruit and sweet malty caramel. Creamy palate with a nice bitter, hoppy finish, slight note of yeast and maybe a little pepper to boot. Wonderful...

Poured from a 750ml caged and corked bottle and served in a tall lager glass. This beer poured a slightly hazy dark golden hue with a huge, rocky head of beige foam that would not disappear. Excellent lacing. The aroma of the beer was made up of freshly mown grass, clean pilsner malt, and orange zest. The flavor included mildly bitter citrus, pine, mild caramel, along with a lightly alcoholic bite at the finish. The mouthfeel was full-bodied and a bit sticky with light carbonation. Crisp and hoppy and a pleasure to drink.
