A rocky plume, dense snail tracks, and a thick lasting lace is DB’s trademark. The color is a pale caramel yellow and slightly hazed. Aromas of brisk chunky citrus peel hops and a mild malty sweetness. Full nectar w/ soft as cotton carbonation. It’s almost crispy on the palate despite it fullness. A brisk hopsy citrus rind component right upfront delivers a balanced malt body w/ salted grapefruit and bittersweet caramel. The finish is bittered well leaving a lingering asprin tingling sensation to ponder. This brew is very generous cold or warmed. DB leaves a mouthwatering thirst for more on the user creating an addiction. This stuff is amazing. I pick up some candyfruit as it warms. lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA

Overall: Makes me think of what a lager could be if any attention or care was put to it. Absolutely beautiful. I’d have it again in a second. It’s not a favorite because the style isn’t a favorite, but if more lagers were like this, I’d seek them out. Beautifully crafted. 18 out of 20.

Hoppy strong European lager. Lots of hops in the PNW imperial pilsner style. It’s very in your face. Good or bad? Nice hop, very silly, but I do like those grapefruity piney hops even if it is crude. 4.0/5.0 re-rate Bottle from Beer Merchants.com. For ages I couldn’t tell why I liked this so much. Yes it reminded me of 3 Monts, a big blond. The cascade and amarillo hop aroma is outstanding. Strong, but not too mcuh. It has the drinkability of a pilsner, some really good smooth creamy mouthfeel and then porper bitter on the finish. I can’t believe it’s 8%. corby112 (706), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 25, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden amber/ orange color with a huge, foamy off-white head that settles into a lasting lace. Aroma is nicely balanced with hints of citrus peel, hops, crisp fruit, pine and malt. Very quaffable and excelently balanced, with a complex flavors. Nice malty backbone balancing out sweet crisp fruit, lemon and orange peel, and a nice citrus/ floral hop presence that lasts throughout. Alcohol warmth in the finish. pilsnerrogge (1781), Finspång, Sweden

Fruity apricot-and-orange hop aroma. Flavour is all about hops; a bitter, hoppy flavour that lasts "forever". Dangerously drinkable; I finished that big bottle in no time then wished I had another one. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 15, 2008 Bottle. Body-orange/yellow hazy, loose quarter inch off white head with moderate lacing. Nose-soft medium hops, light grapefruit/PNW hops 9amazingly hoppy), light white spices, smells like a cold, stale, clean refrigerator, light perfume. Taste-high CO2, chamomile, flower petals, rose water, clean Belgian yeast, very clean, perfect medium sweetness, light bitter on the backend. Beautifully done. yousee (48), Belgium
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 20, 2007 On draught at Copenhague beer festival 2007. Pours a beautifull golden coloured beer with a huge rocky head. Fruity citric and well hopped nose. Taste is exactly a follow up from the nose with citric fruits and hops, some hints of caramel as well. Very well balanced, a rather high alcohol Pilsner but very good indeed. Aftertaste is dry and bitter. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark

This Imperial pilsner has a beautiful, golden color and a nice, huge, creamy head. The aroma is wonderfully hopped and fruity with lots of citrus. The mouthfeel is oily and the flavour has loads of wonderful hops, fruit and citrus (mostly). The hops are dancing on a nice, mellow bed of caramel. Yummi, what a treat! 2109
