Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

750 ml Bottle. Pours a warm golden in color with a pure white, fluffy head. The aroma is sweet and fruity. It has a nice citrus zing. The flavor is a dry, citrusy mix having almost a wheaty quality. It has a medium body, a well rounded flavor, and a smooth, warm finish centering around an alcohol and fuity character. An interesting beer from begining to end.

Winter Welcome Toronto. Smells of good malt and fine noble hops, dark amber, with a small off-white head. Flavour is a spicy malt, hops add a nice level of bitterness. Full bodied, a zingy mouthfeel.Terrific example. Thank You Radek Kliber.

750ml Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells of floral hops, candy, and Red Bull. Very hoppy aroma. Poured gold in color with a huge, creamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of floral hops, fruit, Smarties, and more hops. Medium body. Creamy, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Dry, floral hop finish. Sweetness is well balanced by the bitter hops. A nice brew.

Bottle@Kulminator, Antwerp. Citrus and red berries in the aroma. Oily earthy hops in the flavor, with a fair deal of red berries and citrus present. Long hoppy aftertaste. Straightforward, well made and well balanced beer.

750 ml – Thanks for sharing, kmweaver! Lightly hazed orangey gold, creamy white head. Nose was soft with notes of fleshy peach fruitiness that’s layered over warm caramel coated biscuits. Dried sugary fuzzy fruits balance well on a grassy citric hop bitterness. A touch of caramel malt rounds this out well. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweet hoppy finish. One of the better Imperial Pils I have encountered. Well done…

Draught. Golden coloured. Uncelar. Dense off white head. Floral and herbal aroma. Has some spicy sweetness. Flavour is citric and hoppy. Loads of herbs, flowers and spice. Quite balanced and easy to drink. Is quite full bodied. Very dry. Ends on a floral bitterness. Drink this with care. Makes you a bit nuts in the night.

Bomber bottle. Transparent amber color, big soapy foamy head. Not much carbonation. Medium bodied. Has a bit of bready chewiness. Mild malts quickly give way to a big dry citric rind hop flavor. Slight alcohol burn at the back of the throat to finish. Pretty solid beer.
