Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

Draught @ Brewpub København. Pours a slightly pale deep golden colour with a small steady creamy white head leaving a good lacing. Aroma of fresh ripe fruits, pine, flowers and a good soft sweetness. Good mouthfeel. Dry hoppy and fruity flavour with a soft sweetness. Long lasting quite dry hoppy finish. Great brew!

Pours a substantial golden amber with a one finger white head. The aroma is fairly strong, sweet, bitter hoppy, a little grassy and citrusy. Bitter waxy flavor, sweet, sweet, rich, light alcohol. Nice to try But I would like it in something smaller than a 750 for cheaper than 14 dollars.

(Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 18 May 2007) Golden colour with frothy head. Fruity nose with tropical fruit, grapefruit and orange. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit and orange marmalade. Medium body, balanced sweetness (despite the alcohol level) and loads of grassy hops. Very nice.

25.4 oz bottle. Hazed gold with a holding white head and lacy strands. Nose of dough, flowers and light lemon. Almost syrupy with a tingly carb. Taste is lemon, honey and grapefruit with an interesting tea bitterness. Fresh and crisp, good quaffer.

750 ml, cork and cage. Orangey-amber color with a rocky white head. Aroma of hops and tangerines, herbal and minty, lager yeast. Hoppy flavor also, bitter citric finish. Watery body, more herbal character. Long finish, slightly coppery. Not bad.

Translucent, yellowy brown color with an active, foamy white head that laced the glass. Strong aroma of citrus, hop oils, and slight pine with a hint of grass in the back. Flavor was well balanced, crisp but light malt, citrus and fruity hops, a touch grainy and a touch sugary. Finish is dry and crisp and just a tad syrupy. Very good session beer, I had no problem putting back the whole 750ml.
