Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

Orange/yellow with everlasting head... Very hoppy aroma and taste, maybe to much actually! Bit of malt, hay and corn-like taste... Good balance, but to hoppy when thinking about pilsner/lager...

btl by Springslicker. Sweet corn and malt on the nose. A golden pour with creamy white head and lace. A surprising bitter following a corn malt sweetness. A tad foamy and thin. A drinkable beer I was surprised to find that it was 8%. Could get tricky as easy as it is to drink.

Pours a light amber gold with large white head. Quite hoppy, with bready malt, toast, sweet caramel, and pine. Overall it’s alright and drinkable, but nothing special.

Merritt Island Throwdown ’08: Bottle, courtesy Beerlando. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head. Very light citrus and malt aroma. Malty with a touch of hops and a slight bitter finish. Light and subtle, very nice.

750 ml. Ugly golden-brown color, huge frothy head. Hoppy aroma with pine. Bitter flavor with pine and grapefruit, somewhat oily too. Full body, medium carbonation. This is a very unique beer, which brings to mind the American Double IPA style -- but lagered!

Crushed with Jakebra. Not sure how to feel about this one. Kinda like a saison without the funk. Lots of grassiness and hay in there. Little musty. Not sure what to make of it, but I do know I kinda dig it.
