This is a great little beer. Nothing overly profound, but definiley excellent. Looks quality, pours deep golden with a slight haze, but all-in-all not too cloudy. Lovely 1/2 inch thick bright off/white head. Aroma is delicious, has some wild strawberry notes, some nectarine, orange peel and a lovely spiciness. Flavour is spot on, comes across as rich but remaining clean. Bitter lemon and grapefruit balanced by some lovely caramel/toffee notes from the malt and barley. More spices, ginger or cinnamon-like. Good bit of fresh grass during the mids-finish, also some great rhubarb and custard wafting around in there, with a boiled sweet-like sweetness. Ends bitter with some soapiness building up, some resin also. I’m playing down the fact that the beer is actually quite complex, but I’m enjoying it too much to go on writing. Just got a taste of some lychee emerginf right at the tail end of the finish, sitting nicely at the back of the tongue. Spot on!

This one is truly delicious, a hit for sure! It is hazy, almost unclear orange-golden and the head is creamy and lasting. The aroma is wonderfully hoppy with notes of citrus, mostly oranges and tangerine, peach, a little pineapple and caramel. The slightly sweet flavor has notes of peach, oranges, tangerine and other citrus, melon, spruce, malt and caramel. It is very complex and harmonic!

Light brown and hazy. Has a lasting head, off-white. Aroma is hoppy, clear notes of grape-fruit and passionfruit. Flavor starts ligthly sweet and finish heavy bitter. Dry, syrupy texture.

Huge, dense & finebubbled head, the colour of mangosherbet, leaving rings of lace over faintly veiled orange-ochre beer. Gorgeous grapey hops, cakebottom, and quite some ureum, canned pineapple. Bitter, sharp hoppy flavour, fruity and baked oil. Retronasal pineapple. Sharp MF, (hop)oily, but not really full-bodied. Alcoholwarming, but not exaggerated. It certainly is a double IPA. It also is strictly nothing else. Essential for the IIPA-heads.

A nose of basil, yeast and pineapple. Taste is of citrus and apricot, but any fruity notes is quickly extinguished by a brutal, flat bitterness and quite a bit of alcohol. I would have liked to give this one a higher grade, but it just wasn’t very pleasant to drink.

Aroma of yeast and fermented fruits. Appearance is orange with a small head. Taste is bitter and souer with hints of fruit. The alcohol is shining threw and the taste is a bit sharp.

(Bottled) Slightly hazy amber with a smallish, but firm, lasting and lacy head. Quite strongly aromatic-hoppy nose with citrus and axotic fruit, maybe some grass also. Flavor is nicely malty with balanced bitterness and pleasantly aromatic (again exotic fruit, citrus, grass) character. Bitterness hits in the finish, with mostly grass in the aftertaste. Medium body with soft carbonation. Alcohol fully hidden. Quite an interesting brew: like Plevnan Petolintu doubled in gravity, and with a hefty dose of American aroma hops added. Very easy to drink despite the 10% ABV. Maybe slightly stingy, but nothing like the All Others Pale or other cat-pee IPAs. Much better than the GIPA.

Draught @ Ølfestival Valby - CBF09, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Clear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, flowers, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090517]
