Had this one off the back of three single hop varieties. Poured hazy orange with a huge off white head. Nose showed the simcoe and amarillo: masses of juicy citrus fruits. Palate has some definite sweetness, grapefruit, orange & even some apricot supported by some honey/caramel malt (munich?). Finishes long with high grassy (not overly piney?) hop bitterness. The high abv is nowhere to be seen. Overall great hop impact, in both aroma and palate. definitely my kind of 2ipa!

Bottle@Home. Sweet grapefruit aroma. Hazy, yellow, firm off-white head, good lace. Sweet, very bitter, loads of citrus, grass in the finish, malty. Lots of bubbles, dry mouth feel in the finish. Like a very nice balance between American IIPA and Belgian Triple.

Pours amber with a thick white head. Aroma is grassy hops with a touch of dried fruits. Flavor is more delicious hoppiness that is well balanced by the initial sweetness. I’m drinking this at room temperature, and it might be even better cold, Very nice body. Alcohol is amazingly well hidden. Delicious.

0.33 l bottle, thanks Papsoe and Timo A.! Pale amber hazy color. Medium white head. An intense and pleasant sweetish, fruity and hoppy aroma with citrus, pine needles, grapefruit and honey. The flavor is also sweetish with nice notes of hops, grapefruit, citrus, lemon and honey. The drying and quite bitter aftertaste is enduring and rich too.The notes of alcohol are well hidden both in aroma and in flavor. A well-made and absolutely enjoyable DIPA.

Probably the best Mikkeller I’ve had yet. Big head upon pouring; very white and quite fizzy. Nose shows lots of graepfruit, piney sweet hops and a hint of toffee. Palate shows this again but less over fruit intensity and more darker fruits and toffee coming through. Plays the power / sluggish palate line well although it was getting close. The 10% abv is hard to believe given the light touch in the front half of the palate but it does creep up over time.
