Another Mikkeller beer drunk to celebrate a century, this time my rating number 12,600. I’ve had this many times mostly on draft and so far only once bottled. A slightly hazy light amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of spices, elderflowers, hops, and citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops, grass, grapefruit, lemon peal, and medium notes of elderflowers and malt as well as lighter notes of alcohol and toffee, leading to a dry and quite bitter finish. Not as crazy as I’d thought it would be, but a very drinkable DIPA, though you have to beware of the alcohol - two pints of this and I am drunk.

On tap. Slightly hazy golden with a small off-white head. Spicy, peachy hop aroma. Quite full-bodied, fairly sweet fruitiness that covers the hoppiness rather well, still fairly bitter though. 170509

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge, dense, creamy and off-white to light yellowish head. Citrusy and peachy sweet aroma. Light pinewood touch. Sweet and fruity flavoured. Light caramel malt sweetness with a nice mellow yeasty touch and a very nicely integrated thick hoppy flavour of peaches, grapefruit and citrus. All wellrounded towards a solid yet also smooth and lasting finish. Lovely stuff!

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Hazy golden, rich airy head. Yeasty gooseberry aroma. Sweet with medium-full body. Syrupy with lots of grapefruity hops. Too sweet and with inky late bitterness.

Draught @ Ølfestival Valby - CBF09, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Clear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, flowers, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090517]

Draught at KØ09. Mild wet hop aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Nice stable plasticky white head. The flavour is nicely malty with a hint of spice. The finish is slightly rough, seemingly from the hops.

Bottle (from Ölkonsortiet, Aalborg). A bit hazy ambery orange colour with big fluffy off-white head. Nice lace. Aroma is fruits, spices, zest and mildly grassy notes as well. Flavour is fruity, grassy, hayish as well as some sweet caramel hops and mild alcohol. Quite fruity, but very bitter, in the finish.

Bottle at home. Cloudy golden coloured with a huge white head. Fruity aroma of citrus, grass, pine needles, grape fruits and hops. Fruity flavour of caramel, pine needles, grape fruits and hops. Dry hoppy finish. Quite extreme but well balanced.
