Flaske, delt med min kære mand. Uklar orange/rav, stort tæt hvidt skum.

An order from an excellent and craving importer to the pt most innovative brewer and newly honered as the best brewer in Denmark - for the second time.. This double IPA has the most flowery and juicy aroma that you can think of - An intire swedish blooming field in the middle of julyhas been poured into this one. The appearence is dark moisty orange with a fine lasting white head. I first had this one when it first arrived...and it was even more flowery-hoppy then - its strange how quickly theese dry-hopped IPAs looses the best they got... this is still excellent I think and the flavor is really good...and soooo ballanced. The taste of alcohol is there - but I would never guess that this one hits more than 10 %. Some yeast notes mixes up the fruity and hoppy flavor with hints of grass, malts, burned oranges and honey.. Above all this one is fresh without beeing pale and light.. the palate is creamy without being to fat. The finish is long and smooth with a fresh bitterness that again is best descriped as... yep balanced - Home run - good one. hey ho.

The first time I tasted this I was a bit disappointed because generally Mikkeller beers are very hoppy, so a DIPS had to be extremely hoppy, it wasn’t. But after drinking it on several occasions after I realized that if you beyond that initial disappointment, it’s just a very very great beer with a very balanced flavor.

The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts strong and very complex hoppy, modest sweet. The middle turns much drier, also woody. Finish becomes milder again, well balanced, soft aftertaste. Very, very good! Thanks to HenrikSoegaard for the bottle!

Bottle shared by someone at "Drink for Charity" event at Rattle N Hum. Pale golden beer. Aroma is loaded with bright zesty, grassy hops. Chewy sweet/crackery pale malts. Very fresh, bright lemony herbal/zesty hoppiness. Spicy and fruity and very aromatic. Soft bitterness and very, very tasty brew.

A lovely, easy-drinking DIPA for the strength and bitterness. This would be a regular if I had the cash and access. A very good-looking beer - labrador-gold with a head that wouldn’t shame a beauty queen. Fruity aroma of pink grapefruit and mango. Slick palate and quite chewy - definitely at the meatier end of the scale. Clean and hoppy in the mouth - Simcoe, Amarillo and Tomahawk. Juicy Fruit chewing gum and some real grapefruit zestiness before a big warming finish. Champion stuff. (330ml bottle from Platinum Liquor. Batch 01.01)

Bottled 33cl. Ordered from crackedkettle.com. Appearance: Beautiful, surprisingly pale golden, slightly hazy with a nice lacing off-white head. Aroma: Extremely nice with notes of sweat, Devonshire cream, apricot, peach, grapefruit, wild strawberries, candy, ginger and mango. Flavor and palate: A lot of mango, Devonshire cream, apricot, ginger and wild strawberries showing up. Wonderful hop profile. Good bitterness. Slightly peppery on the swallow. Long dry bitter finish. Overall impression: My kind of Double IPA. A great surprise!
