Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Hazy golden with a dense white head leaving laces. Fresh and intense flowery hop aroma. Medium body, malty and fruity sweetness with an amazing flowery hoppiness that leave a solid hop burn. Amazing stuff that really shows the depth of German aroma hops. 300809

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Hazy golden, enormou head. Aroma of gooseberry and grapefruit. Sweet and medium bodied with some almondy yeast character. Finishes with medium bitterness. Pretty much a Belgian style IPA, but lacks the charm many of these have.

From tap at Ølbaren. Pours hazy dark orange with a dense and slight off-white head. Light leathery and grape fruity aroma, light citrusy. Mild citrusy and crisp bitter flavoured. Mild wineous and fruity hops base flavour. Light caramel base. Medium bitter and crisp finish.

Light unclear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, flowers, perfume, grapefruit shell, moderate yeasty, soap. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy shell bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090619]

Bottled@Fonefan. Golden colour with mediumsized foamy head. Aroma is fruity and grassy hops along with mild earthyness. Flavour is grassy, fruity, earthy and mildly yeasty. Quite pleasant balance. Different touch to an IPA.

Draught at Ørsted Ølbar. Hazy golden coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of hops, grass, hay and citrus. Fruity flavour of hay, grass and hops with notes of grape fruits. Dry hoppy finish.

German IPA - you mean like the Weyermann IPA? Fairly hazy blonde-tan colour. The aroma is a bit minty, with iodine as well. Somewhat harsh hop, but fades to pleasing citrus note as more pale malts come across the palate. For a relatively moderate strength beer, it has a fairly assertive alcohol presence in the finish. Nice berry notes at the very end.

Hazy golden color; creamy head. The aroma shows some candies, light sweetish malt, light yellow fruits. Medium body strength, showing more than its alcohol content would suggest; strong bitterness, well interlaced with the malt, but not much aromatic, maybe oily, and getting a bit oppressive at the end; later, the beer becomes more mellow, showing light fruitness; an IPA, don’t know if German…. On draught it’s a common beer, not as good as the bottle.

Hazy deep blond color; too much carbonation; big head. The aroma has some malt and hop, quite German, but also a very light funkyness. The body is medium-light in the front, with a strong, dry, malt flavor; strong hopping, dry and very grassy; even the flavor presents some Belgian yeast character, that in my opinion is out of place here. With such hopping and with the good toffee malt, the final is very pleasant, full.
