The pour is moisty pale yellow with a sky risin white fluffy head. The nose is fresh and sweet. There is notes of pepper, some sour fruits, almonds and hops hops hops. Now we have been dragged through all thinkable american hops that has taken us through one blooming field after another... so of cause he is changing lane now. Here is something else...but still violently hopped. Its is fresh whith a dry and crispy palate. I taste a lot of hoppes and I think of the Nelson Sauvign (even though the label says that here we are talking about Tomahawk and Tettnang.) The taste is bitter with some notes of melon and bread-crums.The finish is smooth with a heavy but fading bitterness. So drinkable - grab a few - one is not enough. Knap så megen bitterhed hvilket gør den meget drikbar påtrods af den megen krydderhed også i smagen. Dejlig øl. altonbrownd (1934), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Mellow and subdued fruity taste. Hops comes on strong in middle. Then a dry and light finish with grapefruit bitterness. A very nice beer. Perhaps my first German IPA. Well done. bacchanalia (68), milton, Cambridgeshire, England
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Pours out a pure yellow/gold, a feisty bugger with a whopping head, might have been my inept pouring as well as the excitable beer. On the nose that lovely pine resin/cut grass waft with a little citrus, you can almost smell the bitterness. Just a lovely body, very full and rounded, you actually get a hit of searing bitterness straight away & then there is a slight richness in the mid palate with ever so slight toffeed barley. There is a nip of citrus in there & then the long finish is bitter hops & resin in a good way. Well crafted flavours, I’m very happy supping this Fin (3446), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
