John C brought a bottle to the 2009 PP Strong Ale Fest. Thanks John! Malty, lightly sweet. Lightly oxidized hops, which are actually nice in this beer. Very good.

A big thanks to Papsoe, Ungrstrup and Yespr for this bottle. I passed it around at the 2009 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest and everyone enjoyed it. This beer starts out with a nice malty flavor but balances out nicely with some very good tartness

Bottle from Dallas Tasting at BMan31VR’s place, thanks to bu11zeye for this one. Big ole magnum and it was inviting. Pours orangey brown with a tan ring. Nose is sweet and rich and slightly floral as I recall. Taste is sweet rich caramel quite quite nice.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Cloudy orangish red appearance. Smells very nice. Has points of hops and red fruit. Some wild berry smell as well. Taste is immediately striking. Dry hops fill it out but also have some thicker qualities. Some dry fruit but tasty. Finishes very dry.

Dark copper colour with a huge dense off-white head. Aroma is of sweet fruity hops and sweet fruity malt. Slightly piney with floral and caramell notes. Flavour is intense bitter, piney and fruity, floral, slightly perfumey with fresh and clean malt character that backs up a rather bitter beast. Body is creamy and smooth.

2009 Magnum bottle number 616/1300 thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a large, fluffy, off-white head with a haze amber body underneath. Decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is hoppy with notes of apple, belgian yeast and caramel. Taste is hoppy with pine cones, spicy and notes of caramel. Quite warming with medium carbonation.

Magnum bottle, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, thanks to gunnar. Cognac-coloured beer, moderate off-white head. Aroma of American hops and (possibly) Belgian(?) yeast. Intense bitter flavour from start to finish, very sharp. Some fruit.
