Huge fruity hoppy aroma. Dark brown, huge head. Big grapefruity bitter taste - and a very full palate. Rich and well balanced. Very sweet, but just within the bounds of drinkability. Loads of grapefruit seeds, but not excessive. My faith in Mikkeller is restored, they can do a tasty hoppy beer after all. Covers 10% very well, a nice sipper.

Pours ruby with a mediumsized off-white head. Hoppy nose with caramel. Flavour with malt, caramel, hops and pine. Medium to full bodied. Well balanced. Nice bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival 09. Clear copper color, short head. Hoppy aroma, caramel malt, some hint of strawberry. Very bitter taste, firm malty body. Slight alcohol burn. Very good stuff.

2009-05-26, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 9-4-9-5-18=45
Dark mahogany color, hazy, with amber reflex, and very small head. It has a massive aroma, sweet caramel and aromatic hops, both fruity and resiny. Very strong body, luckily with low carbonation, with a huge caramel flavor, nice sweetness, and powerful hopping; the hops bring bitter oranges and resins. Long and strong final. Nothing refined here, just the usual bomb, a beer for real men ;-)

Beautiful amber color. Deep aroma, extremely hoppy, with mostly resins, and some fruitness; later, a nice earthy touch. Very strong caramel flavor, sweet, with nice hop resins and bitter oranges, lightly astringent in the end. Strong bitterness, maybe a bit aggressive. Powerful and very enjoyable.

Bottled. Pours out in a cloudy reddish brown colour with a small creamy tan-coloured foam. Rich sweaty hop aroma of lychee, bloodgrape, resin and alcohol. Full-bodied with notes of grapefruit, resin, lychee and alcohol. Huge bitter finish of grapefruit, grass, resin and alcohol.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-07-31) Deep dark brown and clear. Small white head. Malts and lot of hops in aroma. Full bodied and warming palate with medium carbonation. Malts, grass, hops, blackcurrant bush leaves, sweetness, saltiness, spices, pine and bitterness in taste. Malty, spicy and bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at the RBESG09, Grand tasting, sheffield. Alround rating: Massive hop win, good amount of sweet honey and caramalt coming through but its all about the citrus and lightly blackcurrent hops. Beer of the trip for me!

Funky hop and fruit aroma but more typical in its flavor profile, with some really interesting roasted notes in there, to my liking. Bottle shared at RBSG 2009 grand tasting.
