(Bottled, 1.5l, #666) Clear, deep red with a small, bubbly but lasting head. Aroma of alcohol and hops, with some underlying caramely maltiness. Aromatic-hoppy, exotic-fruity flavor with very high bitterness and some alcohol. Medium body, slightly fizzy carbonation. In a way the exotic fruitiness is nice, but overall this is quite harshly bitter and somewhat too alcoholic for the body. Could improve with ageing.

Bottled #666 (PBF, BBE 2019, courtesy of oh6gdx). Clear ruby color, small white head. Nice piney-pineapple fruity hoppy aroma. Flavor is also dominated by hops. A bit sweetish with caramel in the backgorund, medium-bodied. Long resiny hoppy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a bit wineous. Quite nice sipping beer.

Sampled from bottle at Bishops Arms, Järntorget Dark hazy amber. Small, bubbly head. Loads of flowery hoppiness. Almost flat with grassy hops. A bit too bitter...

[Sampled with the duo Svoger & Svogergylp at DØE, Valby, 2009.] Hazy amber look with off white head. Notes of very much grass, all the way deep down the body. But also rye, caramel, sweetness and some fruits. Pleasant!

On tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It serves a clear, copper or dark golden body, topped by a complete lack of head. Still, looking quite lovely. Vinous, syrupy and fruity nose with peachy hops, resin and white sugar. Bitter flavor with sugary sweetness, citrus and resin. Sweetish on the palate, quite flat, with astringent bitterness and a good warmth. Bitter finish with all the initial flavors present. A big, extreme beer, maybe a bit too much. Strange thing is that I didn’t remember it as good as my notes and rating says it is. (090515)

Tap. Nice grass and hop aroma. Amber color with little or no head. Sweet full body with a dry hop presence. Nice dry hop palate with a noticeably warm alcohol sensation. Very nice.
