Stick your nose in a bag of Cetennials. Intense strong and slightly syrupy. God, that is just so hoppy. Pure hop sensation, not outlandish, not unbalanced. Not boozy. Joint best beer of the day. Alround rating: Massive hop win, good amount of sweet honey and caramalt coming through but its all about the citrus and lightly blackcurrent hops. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 4, 2009 2009-05-26, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 9-4-9-5-18=45 Dark mahogany color, hazy, with amber reflex, and very small head. It has a massive aroma, sweet caramel and aromatic hops, both fruity and resiny. Very strong body, luckily with low carbonation, with a huge caramel flavor, nice sweetness, and powerful hopping; the hops bring bitter oranges and resins. Long and strong final. Nothing refined here, just the usual bomb, a beer for real men ;-)
2009-05-15, draught at Københavnske Øldage 2009, 9-5-8-5-17=44 Beautiful amber color. Deep aroma, extremely hoppy, with mostly resins, and some fruitness; later, a nice earthy touch. Very strong caramel flavor, sweet, with nice hop resins and bitter oranges, lightly astringent in the end. Strong bitterness, maybe a bit aggressive. Powerful and very enjoyable. joergen (8610), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Clear orange coloured with a small off white head.
Fruity aroma of caramel and rye bread with notes of hops and pine needles.
Sweet, fruity and hoppy flavour of pine needles, grape fruits and grass.
Dry hoppy finish. Rune (2812), Tromsø, Norway

Attractive deep, russet coloured body. Minimal head. Smell of grapes and citrus peels. Dry hopped taste profile with pine needles, dark fruits and caramel sweetness. Long lasting bittersweet aftertaste. Massive and heavy and a joy to the senses (mid-May 09). thewolf (5758), Kolding, Denmark

Pours deep mahogany red. A small off-white film head on top. Aroma has strawberries, light caramel malts, vinious notes, hops (Centennial?), liqourice and some port character. Good creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is bitter, but with lots of sweet caramel. Fat and malty, lightly roasted with good strawberry notes. This is just immensely drinkable. The 10 % ABV is just nowhere to be seen. Nice! Inviting looks. Utterly amazing hops. So big and juicy. Loads of spruce, glorious citric notes and a superb supporting role from the malt. Considering the pure outlandishness of the hops the balance is actually really good. Finishes massively bitter. Bloody awesome stuff. Cock off Stella! KnutAlbert (3127), Oslo, Norway

Lovely pine aroma. Packed with flavour, you feel a malty base here, but it is not allowed to surface. A hop bomb.
