Yeah, so I decided not to follow any sort of tradition, and just drink this whenever...kinda sad...
Quite suprised to see it pour a dense brown foam atop a thick opaque pitch black body. Should really read up before I drink, though my Danish is a bit poor...
Aroma has a lactic roastiness about it. Spicy, particularly cloves, bold earthiness behind it, almost woody. Burnt sort of notes resinate with a slight citrusy note underlying.
Low carbonation, velvet-like texture, big lengthy body bringing forth a good amount of roasted dryness, yet is still very well balanced.
Body is just hugely complex, almost to the point where it’s overwelming! Bitter cocoa, liquorice, whole cloves, cinammon, medium roast coffee, toffee, nuts, subtlest of dark fruits and raisins. Finishes with a coffee-like dryness bring forth a bitterness and smooth alcohol soothing.
Rather intense, sort of spiced porter. Probably one of those beers that would taste fantastic with a good number of years under its belt, at the moment it’s more like Gluhwien mixed with stout! Hophead22 (1090), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA

Aroma has more roastiness to it though. Same sweet spiciness as To From, but it does seem to have a more roasted maltyiness overall though.
