Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Amager Bryghus.

An American Strong Ale brewed exclusively for Pikkulintu Pub in Helsinki, Finland. Enthusiasm, expertise, dedication. Those are the words best describing the work of the guys of Pikkulintu Pub in Helsinki, Finland. With their vast knowledge and a decade of experience in the crazy world of beer, Pikkulintu has been able to change the face of Finnish craft-beer scene within the past few years – for good! Always finding the best beers available with their noses of truffle pigs they also dug Mikkeller out from the fertile soil of dnish craft-brewing and ended up being the first European importers of Mikkeller beer. This beer – strong, bold and beautiful like the boys behind it - is a result of a long partnership and a tribute to the daring beer-guerrillas of Pikkulintu.

500ml bottle (Porvoo BF2009)
Fruity hoppy aroma - big and nettley. Pleasant carbonation - big nettley retronasals. Sweet malty body, a bit sticky. Big sugar hit, bold hops. Finish sweet and hoppy, but only moderately bitter. Long finish is a bit nettley and spicy. Tasty, but a bit one-dimensional and sweet.

Bottle@Beer Hunters, Pori. Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is nutty, fruity hoppy and also quite spicy and yeasty. Flavour is fruity hops, grass, yeast and some gluelike sweetness. Hop, glue and some nuttyness in the aftertaste. A bit strange but drinkiable. As it warms up it all gets into a glueish überfruity mess.

Bottle at Beer Hunter’s, Pori. Hazy orange, firm pale head. Ginger attack on the nose, sweet mandarin zest, little pepper, moderate fruity hops. Spritzy citric flavor, loads of yeastiness, grapefruit, not as spicy as the aroma. Sweetish, long zesty bitterness in the finish, little grain and warming alcohol. Almost full bodied, average soft carbonation. Felt pretty mellow with all that yeast, but still a fairly good citric strong ale.

Bottled, Beer Hunters’ (BB 05/2010). Deep orange color, small creamy white head. Yeasty, mango-citrus-orange nose with some alcohol too. Grapefruity, tangerine-mango spicey flavor. Quite yeasty. Fruity spicey brew, which is too ordinary for being label beer for Pikkulintu.

Bottle at Olutravintola Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Pours cloudy golden with a huge beige head. Aroma is hops, grass, pineapple and peach, containing some bitter undertones. The flavour is slightly bitter grape at first, then sweet malt and peach. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, with hints of yeast. Lovely!

Bottle (Thanks Juha) at home - New Years Tasting. Clear amber - white head. Fruity, yeasty, high hoppy, high citric, light sourish, grape fruits, baking yeast, dry mouth - unbalanced and far too sour/bitter !!!

Unlabelled bottle with the Club. Blind rating. Pours a hazy light amber with an off-white head. Smells of baking yeast. Sourish and and overloaded with aromas of yeast. Hints of fuggles(?). Very dry finish with more baking yeast. DNF

Uklar orange farve med et flot hvidt skum. Dufter af humle, bagegær og grapefrugt. Smaget af mere humle , bagegær græs og citrus. Man bliver helt tør i munden.
