finol (474), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Nov 7, 2009 Bottle from Ölbutikken.
Pours mahogny with a little head.
Lots of cookies and slightly oily, even though it is fresh (2months after bottling) I think it could have used some more citrusy hops. JanVittrup (138), København V, Denmark Oct 15, 2009 Aroma is pleasent and strong.
Flavor is too much noise-guitar on the tongue for my tastes.
A nice beer for the price.
Purchased for 50dkr in Ølbaren (tap) fschoening (6), Denmark does not count Oct 13, 2009 Beatiful color! Almost amber. Initial aroma indistinguishable caramelly. Beautiful bottledesign. Definately citrus hints - can’t taste peaches, though, as others here. Perfect bittery finish - keeps making me want another sip, and now it’s almost empty..! Madsnp (599), Odense C, Denmark Oct 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours slight hazy copper coloured with a nice bubbly and lasting off white head. Aromas of blackcurrant, pine, peach, caramel and citrus fruit. Flavours of caramel, toffee, grapefruit, citrus, resin and peaches. Extremely crisp and easy drinkable. Another classic from Mikkeller. Boy I’ve missed this one. chrisv10 (332), Denmark Sep 27, 2009 50 cl bottle. Dark hazy amber body with small head. Flavour is hops, fruit and malt. Ottima jesperhammer (260), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 25, 2009 25-SEP-2009, bottle @home.
Dark dark hazy amber - surprisingly dark for an IPA - almost dark brown with nice tan head. Top character here.
The nose is perfect IPA. Loads of citrus and pine at first. Then some malt as well.
Same hoppy taste, with nice sweetness, and some fruity notes as well. Massively bitter, but nicely balanced by the malty sweetness.
I love iPA, and this is a perfect example. thebeertourist (2750), Oslo, Norway Sep 22, 2009 Bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen, bottled 11.09.09. Beautiful shiny red orange with a tan, lacing creamy head. Potent, fresh hops aroma. Citrus and grassy aroma and flavours. Very fresh, hoppy flavours, solid bitterness. No compromising balance, just mad hop worship. Expected maybe a fuller body. This is the ultimate harvest beer. Greener it cannot be.
