The aroma is powerful of fresh hops - which I just love, it has notes of grapefruit, caramel, hay, and more. The flavor is sweet at first with notes of caramel, and a bit weak on the body, but then the hops gain in strength with notes of grass, grapefruit, lemon, pine and straw, and with the hops gaining strength the body also picks up, so it finishes off being quite powerful - the alcohol is not tasted, but felt, and the combination of alcohol and fresh hops stays in the mouth forever. Now this is a beer according to my head. I’ve also had it draft - and must admit that the times I’ve had it bottled I’ve liked it better than on draft - so far I’ve had it twice from draft and twice from bottle. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2007 (On tap) Clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Fat aroma with strong citric notes. Quite full-bodied with lots of malt and citrus and a distinct bitterness. I’m afraid there’s a vague fustyness buried underneath - probably from the tap. 120507 yespr (12407), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 4, 2007 66 cL bottle. Pours orange with light brown head. Aroma is bitter, caramelly and fruity hops. Aroma is first a touch of bitterness and fruityness from the aroma hops followed by a soft caramel maltyness. Ends very bitter. Well balanced - but reminds me too much of Raasted Imperial Stout - seems too inspired by that to me. If there would be an originality score it wouldn’t be rated high. But damn this is a good beer! omhper (12298), Stockholm, Sweden

Cloudy orange coloured with an off white head.
Aroma of caramel, hops. pine needles with flowery notes.
The flavour starts with some caramelic malty sweetness but soon gets very hoppy with notes of pine needles.
Dry hoppy finish.
