[Another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer - this time 6600] A hazy amber beer with a thick creamy long lasting orange head. The aroma is lovely hoppy with notes of grapefruit. The flavor is very sweet, but also very hoppy and with strong notes of caramel - almost everything is powerful except for a light roasted malty note in the back ground. Towards the end some woody notes appear, and makes the end somewhat dry. Even the alcohol burns slightly on the tongue and in the top of the throat. It is something like drinking a thick grassy caramel soup.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a dense, beige head leaving laces. Distinct, leathery hop aroma - Simcoe? Quite full-bodied with a solid and sweetish malt profile - caramel. Lots of fruit and distinct accents of pine and citrus from the aroma hops. Some bitterness. Yummy. 090407

Dark brown color; creamy head. Wonderful aroma, complex and delicate; fruity (oranges, dried apricots, peaches…), more mellow than the average IPA; in the background there is a touch of English hops, and the resins give an herbal hint (myrth). Good body structure, not sticky; malty flavor with the addition of caramel; resiny and aromatic hops, strong, to balance the sugars. The final, powerful, has an accent on the burnt sugars. An excellent beer.
Thanks Mikkel for saving one for me.

Somebody ought to learn to read - maybe me. I read Humlefryyyd... Very fine & dense, rosy-foxy head; very hazy red-brown beer. Dry, dry hops’ punch in the face, full strength, with an underlying strong cake with caramel aroma. Nice! this is hopslaced orange and strawberry marmalade. It’s extreme, but there is at the same time an amazing balance. Ends alcoholic - but not pure ethanol, lots of higher alcohols as well. Very well-bodied, alcoholwarming, fully viscous, creamy texture. Mikkel, this is one of your best. I could drink this for hours. Thanks, Carlo!

Draught @ Ølbaren. Dark reddish brown. Unclear. Dense brownish head. Sweetness, fruits, herbs, caramel, berries and light smoky notes in the aroma. Quite delicious. Flavour is very herbal and flowery. Berries and fruits is there as well. Light alcohol notes. Has a balanced bitterness in the end. Full bodied. I can understand why Mikkel and Kristian has changed the name from Humlefryyyd. No one with a little sense would want a beer like this mistakenly compared with a shitty Skands..
