Light-ish color, good funk in the flavor (not as much in the aroma) with some decent yeastiness and a hop note without particular bitterness in the finish. A fresh quality and a hint of citrus, making it a good summer beer. Doggythedog (1601), Split, Croatia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who got it in a trade with faroeviking (thanks!) Poured a golden body with almost no head. Nice lemony funky nose, slightly acidic. A lemony almost candyish taste ending in breadiness, simple and not all that tart but tasty. Dry and slightly soapy. Not as refreshing as one would expect but still enjoyable. The herbal hoppy bitterness overpowers the acidity and turns this in a watery poor man’s Orval, which considering the "original" is still a compliment. elihapa (1070), Honolulu, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Had at the tent party upon college graduation! Aroma is funky, sour, yet fresh. Palate is light and crisp, very refreshing without ever hinting of thinness. I taste citrus fruit for starters – pleasantly sweet – which moves towards sour-funk, fresh green apple, maybe some lemon rind to finish. Really, really nice barnyardy flavor throughout. Oh, how wonderful and fresh wild ales can be! nerdrocker101 (102), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Bottle. I generally love Mikkeller’s work, but this was disappointing. I’d like to think it would get better with age, so I may buy another and cellar it. Pours yellow with a small white head. It has a dry, champagne quality to the taste. I’ll have to give it another shot after some aging. shawnm213 (1000), South Bend, Indiana, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Bottle 330ml. Muddy yellow colour, thin white head. Aroma is very rich, and has yeast, berries and flowers in it. Taste isn’t so special, dry and medium carbonated mouthfeeling, hops, grass and leather. Chef Chad (102), Grand Junction, Colorado, USA

Some Fruit and yeast on the nose... The nose was very bright. Pours a very nice Opaque in nature with a good amount of head that lasted the whole beer. Balanced carbonation with a crisp and clean finish. Flour was mild and slightly soured... Some young fruit and a little bit of spice.. The flavor of this beer was very refreshing and with its low ABV is a jewel!!!." Ughsmash (4088), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Bottled. Poured crystal clear (at least initially) bright goldlen with a lovely cap of white head. The aroma opened with strawberry seeds, which threw me off a bit.. sour vinegary notes and Brett funk followed over a soft bready base. The flavor didn’t quite hold up it’s end of the bargain.. pale and bready malts at the core laced with sticky, ugly foot-like funk and some barnyard character.. bitterness was light.. picked up some redeeming lemon zest on the funky finish.. still kind of a mess. Light-bodied and mildly sour on the palate.. left a dry impression at the end.. some interesting character, but I probably wouldn’t have another.
