| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2009 Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a white head. Aroma: Sour and funky, yeast, cheese, barnyard, hay. Taste: Light sourness, light funk, yeast, grain/malt, grass, biscuits, lemon, light hop bitterness. Light body. Dry finish. Very drinkable. Almost a bit like Orvals little brother. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 7, 2009 Pours to a yellow gold body with a thin foamy white head. The aroma is sour horse blankets and hay. It was vibrant when opened but died quickly. The flavor is malty, hay, light tangy chalk-like hops. I wish it had more sour and more flavor. Very light. Definitely not worth $6. Like a poorly made DuPont Saison. Light body fits in the style of a saison but is chalky. Wow, they done fucked this one up. Should be named: "We fucked up and wanted you to foot the bill." flatmatt (230), Northville, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2009 330 mL bottle as It’s Alright! Pours hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Aroma is tart with red and green apple, bits of strawberry. Restrained flavor compared to the aroma, the malts come across similar to a saltine cracker, particularly in the finish, with tart apples and cloves among the other flavors. Very effervescent mouthfeel. Well-made, but on the boring side. noncaloric (625), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2009 Hazy gold pour, well-retained white head, no lace. Aroma built around a particularly dirty yeast funk, with some pineapple-ish hops around the edges. Flavor has bread, pineapple, dust, finishes with husky grain and bitter rubber. I think all this is overpowered by the strength of the dirty foot yeast funk. Smooth, dry palate, with a bit of apple peel astringency. EithCubes (2169), Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 1, 2009 Bottle. Funky smelly feet odor, some dritay raunch in dere, lots of citrus and some must with a little Brett. Light floral with hops and all sort of nature - clearly, this bottle is where the wild things grow. Golden pour with a thinly-spread soapy white head. Very, very dry (water-sucking), refreshing and lightly crisp, lovely bready flavors and I’m reminded I need to use more caramunich. Gentle wood and spice. Very lightly sour and tart with a rubbery medium body. Clean and balanced with no alcohol showing. Sort of a daily Orval - impossible to stop grinning. Criminally underrated and worth every penny of the $5. golubj (1290), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Bottle. Light clearish gold pour with small amount of white head. Aroma is light leather / brett and really dry dough and grains and hops. Slightly sweet straw flavor up front yields to dry bretty bitterness and yeast left on the palate. I don’t think the hops and extreme dryness go well together. pintocb (518), Darsville, Georgia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Looks like a typical golden ale. Aroma is like a skunky saison. The flavor is complex, but not in a good way. Sour and spicy (not a good combo, btw) up front, followed by bitter, sweaty, salty, dirty sock. I had such hopes for this..... | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Hazy yellowish pour with creamy white head. Funky, tart aroma, some barnyard, some green apples, Flavor is nice: lightly tart and funky, very dry. Light hops in the finish. Very bubble, effervescent mouthfeel. This would be nice to session, it should come in six packs instead of single 12 oz bottles for $5.99
