11.2oz bottle under the It’s Alright moniker, courtesy of my main man Swolf3, thanks Wolf. light gold pour. Slightly dry with a tartness and some funk. Alot of barnyard funk in this one, not my cup of tea. Hard to describe it overall, some citrus notes, I’m going horse blanket or my roomates dog bed for his Alaskan Malamut Parker. I’m good on this in the future.

Bottle. Vibrant bronze beer with a strong head. The aroma is like roquefort chesse, and the flavour is bitter and sour. Overall a poor beer.

Pours a transparent deep golden with a thin, spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of strong musty cheesy funky character and some grassy floral notes. Body starts light and effervescent with a mild grainy biscuity malt presence and semi-tart earthy funky balance before a drier, more bitter finish. One of the funkier beers I’ve had, but could use a little more body and sweetness for balance.

Pale murky gold pour with a decent head. Drinks quite light, with sour and wheat flavours and peppery herbal hops, and a grassy finish. Also has a fair bit of honey sweetness in the back. A good easy drinking beer.

330ml bottle. Hazy straw body with a dense white head that foams up quickly to leave a small head and thick lace. Funk straight up, plenty of horsy and ripe cheese character, some grapefruit rind and hay in the mix, i’d be guessing a lambic of sorts at this point in time! Palate is a bit on the watery side, lean body, carbonation is not as lively as I would have guessed, and this is certainly where it jumps off the lambic band wagon with only the slightest citric acidy and dry texture. Flavour is also not as full on as the nose lead me to believe. Some grapefruit and lemon upfront, bit of wheaty bread character, getting towards mouldy cheese and horse blanket on the finish. Ends dry, low bitterness. Is it alright? Yeah, I guess. Certainly not what you’d expect, especially if you’ve never tried a truely funky beer, though this could be a good starting place. Quite a quaffer regardless.

Clear yellow with a big puffy head. Aroma is weird.....ripe cheese and grapes. Flavor is bread topped with parmesan, then a little citric sourness.

11.2oz bottle, cap marked 22/10/12 (best by 22 Oct 2012?)--breed @ De Proef. Clear pale golden yellow with a frothy two finger off-white head, pretty good retention. Definite horse blanket in the aroma--it doesn’t just smell like brett is in there--there’s a some foot and cheese in there as well as lemon pulp. I dunno but I’ve never tasted so much stinky cheese in a beer before. Flavor also adds some stale saltines and cherry cough drops? Weird. More funky than sour, as sourness only got as high as a 3. Fairly thin body, but expected with moderate prickly carbonation. Started out pretty good, but the flavor was a bit disappointing. $6.49 @ City Beer.
