Nose of barnyard cheesy funk with a lemony citrus flavor addition. Pretty good if you’re into that funk sort of thing. Glouglouburp (2877), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

How: Bottle 12oz. Consumed fresh a few weeks after receiving it through private importation
The look: Partially cloudy light-blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nice barnyard nose with brett coming out strong in a way that turned my palate into the ready-for-dryness mode. Taste is at first mainly very funky dry. Some lime and a some dry lemon skin. Very astringent. As the beer warmed (yes I took my time to drink a 4.5% brew) it got a little less dry and developed some lemon meringue flavour. Body is lean, soft but never watery. Gotta love that simple but effective funkiness. This is definitely one that will please the Bam Biere lovers. It may also be one that will please the meatloaf lover but certainly in a lower percentage. Borresteijn (1434), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Aroma of lemon, funk, hop and yeast. Flavour is light sweet, fruity, lemon, some good sourness, not too much but just to make this very refreshing and more-ish, lemony bitter finish with some sweetness. Light to medium bodied. Very good and complex stuff. Tmoney99 (4779), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured a clear yellow color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour and yeast aroma. Medium body with a dry texture and lively carbonation. Medium sweet fruit flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where exceeded by a complex drinkable beer. Suttree (2740), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 22, 2009 What an odd beer. Did anyone else get cheese in this? Anyone? Anyone? Anyway, asisde from the aforementioned hint of cheese (not bad, mind you, just odd), I got oak, sweatsock (again, not in a bad way, just odd) and some oaky, fruity notes. Very drinkable, in its own weird way, and tasty. jstraw (775), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Hazy gold with good, creamy off-white head / Skunky, funky nose / Light to medium body, watery, moderately sour, with good balance and fair finish / Sour, slightly rotten, flavors of orchard fruit, oak, and brett / I want to like this, but it’s just too flawed. lamas (728), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 17, 2009 11.2 oz. "It’s Alright!" bottle. Date on the cap: 22/10/12. A hazy straw pour with a smallish off-white head. Sour/funky Brett aroma of athlete’s foot and lemons. Hints of tangerines and floral qualities in there too. The flavor starts off tart and wheaty and quickly becomes quite sour. Almost like straight lemon juice. Goes down thin, crisp, and dry. Not exactly what I had hoped for.
