| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2009 bottle - Pours amber orange with a two finger head. It has a hoppy, citrus aroma. Taste is of good bittering hops that overpower the pale malt flavors. My notes say "where’s the wild yeast" though. I expected more funk out of this one given the name. What’s there is very light. Good, but not that impressive. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2009 750ml - Nice aroma of sweet bread, fresh flowers (not too much though) with some bretty funk and hay. Pours transparent copper with a big head and great lacing. Flavor is more funky than aroma which is nice. Palate is smooth and tart. Quite tasty. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2009 A funky aroma; cider and manure almost, but in a strange way that’s quite interesting and okay. Orange color. A little less carbonation than i expected. Strange, some funk, but not a lot. A late hop bite. Pretty good but not worth the price. Snojerk321 (2021), San Diego, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 24, 2009 750ml bottle. Pours a murky orange amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is Brett with some citrus and light hops. Flavor is a little funky with Brett as the main characteristic. Finish is light and dry. nhorween (640), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2009 750 ml, cork and cage. Chestnut-orange pour with a loose white head. Nice overall aroma - bready and sweet, floral and honeyed hops, cider, honeysuckle, grapefruit, brett. Flavor is much less sweet than the aroma would suggest. Jarring citric hops, astringent bitter finish, with few of the nuances I got in the aroma. Probably would age well. Kevin (1919), Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2009 so i picked this up not knowing what it was. just a "wild ale" now i’m gonna have to get a few to sit on just to see what will happen. well done marketing gentlemen. i have to wonder though, is the date of 11/03/12 on the synthetic cork a best buy date for the beer, or a last useful day keeping air out date for the cork. or, hell, is it a don’t drink until; date? i’ll figure it out. someday. gushed, but i expected it. just judging from the scent when i popped it, this is gonna be a fun beer. light lemon, strong rubberish(in a good way damnit) nose with some sulphur dirty yeast notes, and more than a tidge of banana. so much taffy in the nose that it remiinds me of when i was a kid, and i used to live for "berry" flavored taffy, and banana taffy. a nice, inviting bubble gumesque nose. one of those aromas that makes me think of something else everytime i sniff at it. i am a fan of complexity. this murky walnut hazed beer with a lasting white jhhead that is encridibly thck tastes very good. dry, rubberband early brett flavor dominates, but a sweetness is there nonetheless. pineapple, banana, cotton, a bit medicinal, a nice tannic note that really melds some crap together into goodness. yes marcus, there is some marshmallow in the finish, but it is not dominant, it may only be because i am looking for it that i find it. a great little dry bartlett pear flavor throughout. this has that strangely enjoyable drying paint taste that i can’t really find a better descriptor for, but if you have ever worked painting oil based especially i think you know what i mean. it is that alien yet pleasant taste i get in my mouth even wityh a respirator that lets you know the fumes are getting to you, but not strong enough to make me change filters.

Orange brown with a big off-white head.
Smells like a spontanous belgian completed by spices and forrest.
More complex than most belgian beers in the same style.
Sour at first but finishes in a speciall dryness. Surprisingly easy to drink considering the complexity and all of the flavours!
