Pours a hazy copper amber brew with a heavy and lumpy off-white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of dark pitted fruits, oranze zest, some barnyard funk, and some bready malt, Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of tart dark fruits, yeast, some dry biscuits and citrus zest. Finish has a mild earthy spice aftertaste that even has a light vanilla and yeast flavor. Not too bad! HonkeyBra (1360), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Pours amber with a big head. Great funky, sour nose, a bit oaky. Flavor is a bit sour with a dry, smokey, oaky aftertaste. I wish it had been more sour. Mouthfeel is good. It’s pretty good, though, I kind of expected more. Maria (6309), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2008 It’s hazy, beautiful, orange-red with a huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of fruit, oranges and more sharp citrus, malt light sweetness and barnyard. The flavour has sweetness and notes of hops with notes of fruit, citrus in a sharp kind of way, spice, malt and barnyard. I expected it to be more brett-like, but it’s the sharp spicy/hoppy alcohol-bit that bothers me the most, but I could be fooled into thinking this, it might be the doing of the brett... after4ever (2806), Brier, Washington, USA

Slightly hazy medium amber with loose sudsy tan head. Plenty of steady rising carb. Huge green apple and spice nose. Crisp, almost prickly fizzy body. Beautiful nut, caramel, and biscuit base under a lovely green apple and spice mid-palate. Mild spicy finish. Clearly a tripel, and clearly delicious. Awesome beer. unclemattie (2432), Georgia, USA

Aroma has some tart fruits, lots of dough, yeasty, malted grain, and some resiny hop. Big woodiness flavor. Very dry. Lots of bread. So much going on. The more it warms, the more seems to come out of the glass. ATLBeerDog (280), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Average carbonation. Smells super sweet with plenty of bread and fruity yeast notes. First sip is very bready and biting with mild tartness. Extremely tasty. Great and welcomed bitter finish. Nice medium bodied. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 29, 2008 Beautiful slightly hazy amber with a very large off-white head. The aroma is a fantastic smell of cherries, Belgian yeasts, slightly bready, and sweet hops. The taste is very dry and highly carbonated. The taste is a very withheld sweetness at first with a bready body and a slightly tart dry finish that lasts for a long time. Interesting flavors and a strange wild feel. Vas19 (299), Maryland, USA
