This bottled brew from a rating party poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized light tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a very hazy brown colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was hoppy floral malty and yeasty. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of hops and brown malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Nov 28, 2009 Bottle shared by kmweaver 6/28/08: Pours a transparent copper orange with a stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty malts, orange citrus and peppery spice notes. Body starts lightly sweet and well-spiced with some earthy black pepper and clove notes before a bready toasty finish. A pretty interesting and well-balanced brew.

Nov 26, 2009 Medium coppery amber, initial chill haze, then clears. Pillowy white head is constant, small, and attractive. Aroma is gentle candy sugars and musty pine hops. Would have thought they were American almost. Flavor is caramel accented malts and bitter hop finish. The funk is very, very muted. Perhaps a young bottle? Enjoyable, but it didn’t summon Orval for me.

Nov 22, 2009 750 ml bottle. Dark amber. Very tall white creamy white head that clings to the glass. Grassy hop aroma which cuts through the flavour as well. Bitter. One dimensional. Sharp finish from hops and carbonation.

Nov 15, 2009 pours a deep orange with a big active head. Nose is loads of brett, wet dog, big hay and animal scents. Flavor is funky, dry, effervescent. Wild beer ... pun intended.

Nov 10, 2009 bottle poured a nutty orange amber color with a thick frothy off white head. aroma has rich dark fruit, light spice, yeast, and some hops. mouth feel is medium low with plenty of frothing carbonation. flavor thickens on the malts, figs, brett, raisin, spice, and a good deal of bitter side hops. caramel and sweetness creep in later in the glass and some grass comes through.

Oct 31, 2009 Bottle - 750 mL corked and caged. Tall foamy off-white head resting atop an amber bodied beer. Aroma is fruit, yeast flowers, candy, sweet malts and light funk. Taste is Bretty with yeast notes, cobwebs, earthy hops, spices, sweet malt, dried fruit, candy and floral hops. Body is light-medium and rather bubbly. Ends with more yeast and cobwebs, soft funk, floral hops, spices, earthy hops, wet earth, musty books, fruit notes, light candy and yeast. Rather tasty and not a bit of the 8% ABV around.
