Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, with ruby highlights. Big fluffy white head. Lacing is quite prominent. Aromas of big chocolatey maltiness, plum, caramel, dry oats, slight vanilla. Flavor has roasted soft malts, caramel, some chocolate and a nice Nilla wafer cookie quality. Also a slight lactose. Crisp and drinkable, balanced well.

Bottle. Sweet orange and grapefruit PNW hops with pineapple and lychee - surprising for a brown ale! - give way to toasted, roasted, slightly chocolaty overtones. Reddish-brown pour with an unmovable, rocky tanned head. Very robust bitter taste, comparison with Dreadnaught is still apt, with dry toasty and bready notes. But still, the hops overwhelm any trace of roast and toast and chocolate in the mouth, and thus this is an IPA rather than a brown ale. And just slightly above average, at that. Light brown is slightly sticky with some alcohol shining through. Pass.

Pours a deep, translucent nut brown with a thin white head. Aroma is crisp and nutty with slightly roasted malt at the front. Flavor was mild compared to other Mikkeller brews, roasted nuts, slight coffee, toffee and sugar. Finish was clean and refreshing. Good session beer.

2006 bottle with a best before date in september 2007 :) This should be interesting! Apperance: Brown reddish with a nice, beige, creamy head. Aroma: Vanilla, Milkchocolate, Cola, Nuts, Hops. Fantastic! Flavor: Coffee, Grapefruit peel, Cocoa beans, Spices (pepper?), Cereal. Palate: Quite smooth with heavy kicks of chocolate and a good, dry, bitterness at the end. Medium carbonation.

Solid brown in color with a thick white head. Aromas of piney hops, light caramel and chocolate with some spice toward the back end. The palate is medium-bodied and tart with the bitter hops dominating the malt. A good beer but not my favorite Mikkeller.

This is a bitter beer that makes a substandard brown. it does have a toasty feel and the hops are grass and pine. Its different but not bad

The aroma has toasted malt, coffee, plastic, and grass. The appearance is light brown with a head that is not even average. The flavor is bitter and not right for a brown ale. The palate is average. Overall I am not crazy about this at all.
