| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 20, 2007 This brown ale pours a medium brown color from a 22oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is nutty, maple sugar and sweet. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and roasty, but not very sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Very unlike a brown ale, its not very sweet and has an exceptional crisp and dry finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. pilsnerrogge (1773), Finspång, Sweden
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2007 [bottle] Dark reddish brown. Medium head. Malty chocolate aroma with notes of hops. Roasted chocolate flavour which soon gets washed away by a wave of hops. Interesting, but maybe not a total success. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA

It’s sweet and malty with a little fruit and a nice raosty bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied and slightly dry. Boutip (2347), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Bottle: Poured a medium clear brown color ale with a medium slightly off-white foamy head with better then average retention. Aroma of medium coffee with light nutty malt. Taste of coffee is domination but not overpowering with some light and subtle nutty malt notes. Body is lighter then expected with some adequate carbonation. Overall, I would say this is an interesting take on a usually boring style. GonZoBeeR (2160), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Had a strong powdered chocolate aroma. On tasting it was very much dry cocoa and chocolate liqueur. A nicely balanced flavour with some dry roasty bitterness. Some nuttiness on the aftertaste which seemed most like hazelnut to me - sort of like hazelnut coffee maybe. Very easy drinking but with plenty of interesting qualities - a very pleasing brown ale. shp555 (1681), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
