Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Had a strong powdered chocolate aroma. On tasting it was very much dry cocoa and chocolate liqueur. A nicely balanced flavour with some dry roasty bitterness. Some nuttiness on the aftertaste which seemed most like hazelnut to me - sort of like hazelnut coffee maybe. Very easy drinking but with plenty of interesting qualities - a very pleasing brown ale.

Enjoyed at NoogFest III. Hazy chestnut in color. Sweet malt aroma with a pepper hint and lots of roasted grain. Very enjoyable flavor. Very well balanced toasted grain with easy spicy hops. Probably the best brown ale I’ve ever had. Wow! Creamy semi-dry finish. Very nice.

A dark brown appearance with a roasted nut and chocolate aroma. The flavor consists of nutmeg, dark chocolate, and coffee. A dry slightly alcoholic finish. This seemed to walk the line between a brown and a porter. A nice one indeed.

Brown, beige head. Milky, chocolatey aroma. Smooth and chocolatey, and a lot fuller bodied than I was expecting. Dryish, crisp finish. Badass and funky.

Bottle 0,66l. Dark brown coloured. A large tanned head. Strong aroma of caramel. Distinct flavor of burned malt. A sourish dry bitter finish. Thanks to Rune for sharing it with me.
