Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a huge light brown head that slowly diminished. Rich malt aroma, chocolate, caramel, toffee and light floral hop notes. The flavour is chocolate, caramel, toffee, nuts and citrusy hops. Good carbonation and finishes dry and bitter. It’s pretty hopped up for a brown ale, though it works well and the rich malt balances it out nicely. Very tasty!

I really like this beer and being a bit of a hop fiend helps. Dark reddish-brown in colour with a nice dense fluffy head that hangs around. The aromas are hop dominated with some roasted nutty and malty characters underneath. The carbonation comes on strong initially but balances out straight away. Again the hops are come on strong but it has a fantastic full malty, toasty, nutty palate. Some charry notes too and a long persistent bitterness on the finish. Top stuff. Drink around 8-10 degrees.

More robust than the nogne o i’d sampled prior. Pours dark brown with a nice off white head. Nose has a good mix of roasted malt, choc.coffee as well as some us hops in there. Palate is more robust than i expected having not looked at the abv. Choc/coffee malt early supported by slightly citrussy hops, sounds odd but the citrus is rather mild but hop presence definately there. Finish is long with lingering hop bitterness and roasted malt. Overall a great, robust brown ale.

Bottle pours clear dark brown with a very thick and frothy off white head. Aroma is sweet grain. Light mouthfeel. Flavor was malty and had some hop twang in there as well that was balanced nicely. Overall this is solid. I was just a bit surprised that the mouthfeel was as thin as it was. Still nice.

"Thanks Philb for shipping it and thanks Beercronic for sharing it. Dark brown body with a huge off white cap. Aroma is sweet and malty and blow my mind awesome. Hops are noticeable but not citrusy (thank gawd) some coffee shows up in the aroma as well. I’ve never smelt anything so good in the style. Very malty taste with blueberry, dusty coffee, apricot, some citrus (but hard to find) and a extreme bitter chocolate after taste. Feel is a touch off for me with its chalky dryness. This is so bold and rich you could easily call this a porter instead of a brown ale. The aroma for this stuff is awesome the taste gets lost a little in its intensity but still good."

Bottle - Mondial de la Bière, Montréal. Dark brown body with a thick beige frothy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with roasty, caramel and nutty hints. Taste carries roasted coffee, chocolate and flowery notes. Ends with a long bitter/roasty finish. Well done.

Cola-brown pour with a tan frothy head. Roasted malt, hps, nuttiness, caramel sweetness. Roasted malt flavor with nuts and sweetness. Dry aftertaste on the tongue. There is a slight cocoa taste that lingers on after the drink. Nice lacing on the glass. he foamy head was the last to go.
