Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Brown color, tan head. Mixed chocolate and malt with hops scent. Very bitter taste, and very bitter after taste. I can’t enjoy anything but the scent in this.

Brown color, tan head. Nice chocolate and hoppy scent. Taste is bitter, but not as bitter as I got the impression last time, more complex with chocolate and hops that you can taste. Smooth mouthfeel. Big bitterness. Actually very nice.

Bottle. Rich dark brown. Malty and coffee aroma. Taste to match - strong brown ale taste, very full bodied, coffee not too imposing. Very drinkable strong dark ale.

Picked this bottle up from Uto Beer stall, Borough Market stall, Lahndan tahn, 21-06-08 consumed 04-07-08. Pours conker brown looking a little murky in the depths and with a light brown head. Burnt coffee, roasted malts and some soft brown sugar leap forth from the nose. The taste is fiercely bitter the burnt coffee that was present in the nose returns in the mouth along with some burnt cinder toffee and some further immensely roasted flavours its also hopadoodletastic, very, very nice.

500 ml bottle poured a lightly hazy reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of toasted malt, cocoa, citrus and pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of toasted malt, pine, grapefruiut rind, light cocoa and light earthiness with a smooth lingering bitter finish.
One of the beszt browns I’ve tasted! Too hoppy for most I’m sure but a true Hopheads delight.
