Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Near black colored, medium sized beige head. Strong roastiness with licorice, chocolate, some hayish tones and mild alcohol in aroma, hopped dryness comes also up with mild nuts. Medium bodied. Flavor is also roasted with strongly drying hops, mild licorice and some hayish bitterness. Aftertaste lasts with dry touch. Good beer, still slightly one-dimensional.

Bottle @ Hamilton’s, Blair nicely gave this to me and Dalekliz. This is an interesting Brown. Pours Brownish with a super dark hue and a 1 finger tan head. Nose light and sweet and malty. Taste is sweet and malty and has a lot of burnt malt, almost too much, it isn’t drinkable because of it. Overall robust and decently nice.

Bottle. Hazy vrown with firm tan coloured head. Enjoyable aroma of toasted malt, breadcrusts, nuts, hrassy and a bit ctric hops. Dry hoppy hlavour of nut shels, cocoa and grass with a big bitter aftertaste of grass, nut shels and grapefruit-peels. I usually don’t care för brown ales but this was really good.

Bottle from Knightly Spirits. Damn fine brew. Wow. Brown pour with a nice beige head. Aroma is caramel, nuts, hops, malt and even some faint coffee. Flavor is creamy as hell, nuts, coffee candy, malt and great hop balance. Wow.
