Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

660. Thanks, Maria! Opaque mahogany with rubied, luminescent highlights. Dense, moussy, bubbly off-white head. Not much lace. Rich peppery toasted brown bread nose. Medium body with soft, tightly carbed attack. Rich molasses and sharp salty cat litter mid-palate. Long peppery finish. Awesome brown.

(Rating #1031)

Courtesy of after4ever and shared with after4ever and bitbucket. Pours a clear deep dark brown with frothy off white head. The aroma is roasted malts mixed with brown sugar and mild caramel. It then moves more roasty and burnt as opposed to sweet. The taste is smooth and starts with roasted malts along with a mild malt astringency. It then becomes mildly sweet but with even more roasted malts than the early part of the taste. Into the finish I get more malt astringency that is just right for the style.

Bottle, thanks mgumby. Plain brown color. Small tan head. Aroma of cola and hazel nuts. Extremely soft mouthfeel. Toasty, roasty, with bitter finish. Roasted nuts, toasted seed bread. Lingering hop finish. Wonderful take on the brown ale.

Bottle. Glossy tar with a woolly tan head tufting the glass; faint ruby glints against the light. Aroma straight grapefruit and lychee to begin with, blending into chocolate ice cream, Bovril and burnt toast. Slick, burnt and punching; grapefruit bitterness; high cocoa, tonic water and incinerated pistachio in a deep, resonating finish. Silky and integrated, especially the dregs. Very good. At least as good as Mostodolce Jacky Brown.

Brown, beige head. Milky, chocolatey aroma. Smooth and chocolatey, and a lot fuller bodied than I was expecting. Dryish, crisp finish. Badass and funky.

500ml Bottle: Aroma of roasting, chocolate, citrus hops, astringent, and licorice. Poured dark brown/mahogany in color with a huge, foamy, dense, rocky, beige head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of medium-sized particles. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, citrus hops, and bittersweet sugar. Medium body. Sticky, chalky texture. Average to lively carbonation. Bitter, roasted, chocolate, finish is nice and dry.

66 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Reddish brown colour with a nice creamy head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and maltness. Very bitter flavour of malt, caramel, roastedness and flowerness.
