Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Very nice. Pours very very dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malts, herbs, coffe, bitter chocolate and hops. Has a kind of a oaty feel to it. Hope nobody will laugh - but - it reminds me a bit of a oatmeal stout. Very good though.

Bottle. Deep garnet body with a medium-sized frothy whitish head. The aroma is full of almonds, chocolate, and coffee roast. Tastes very roasty in a very well balanced palate. The hop character is quite nice too and quite resiny. Coffee and toffee notes are present at opportune times as well as some of that nutty almond that was in the aroma. Very drinkable!

Dark amber color out of the bottle with a big, frothy head that left rings of lace on my glass. The nose is chalky with dusty chocolate and something that reminded me of dry dog food. The flavor has lots of roasted grain, chocolate and burnt toast. The finish shows the hops, with a long green finish that tends toward the grassy. Really nice brown ale.

Bottle. Thin brownish head over a dark brown opaque body. Aroma is very hoppy; grapefruit and pine. Also dry roasted malts and and coffee-beans. Dry malts, bitter chocolate, espresso and a good amount of bittering hops in the flavor. Salty notes. Medium body. Roasty and bitter finish. A powerful Brown ale... smells like an IPA and taste like a Dry Stout.

Thanks to Christian for this one! This produces a tan head over a medium brown body. Dusty malt and hops aroma. Chocoalte malt flavor with a dry hop finish. Moderate bitterness which is high for a brown ale - but to the better and this balances it out quite nicely. Nice take on the style.

Bottle, courtesy after4ever. Pours a clear dark brown with a thick and dense off-white head. Medium body and carbonation. Soft, toasty taste. Slightly astringent finish, the pine builds as the bottom of my glass nears.
