Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

hazy brown, wispy beige head, huge chocolate aroma with lots of fresh citrus hops, well hopped rich dry chocolate flavor, light bitter finish considering all of the hops in the aroma and flavor, not a lot of complexity but a lot of flavor and very drinkable

Cloudy nut brown colour. Rich chocolatey malt nose is lightly toasty and fairly nutty. Full body up front, but gets thin and harsh at the end, turning the toasty chocolatey malts into astringent burnt toast. This much hop needs more sugar.

Draught
Dark brown color. Delicate aroma, of cappuccino and chocolate. Full mouthfeel, well malty, with a good mix of caramel, roasted malt and hop. Long and strong final, based on the milky, coffeish roasted malt. Very good.

(50cl bottle, thanks kmweaver) Large beige head atop hazy chestnut body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, Mikkeller house yeast, some chocolate, light raisin. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, raisin, herbal/grapefruit, some yeast, smoke. Low carbonation, light-medium body, some creaminess.

Bottled@RBESG’06. Dark brown color, small off-white head. Herbal, hoppy nose. Very hoppy - IPA-like - some caramel in the background. More less like brown IPA!

Dark brown with a nice head. My nose is met by roasted malt, lots of it, chocolate, coffee and yeast. The flavour is wonderful and perhaps THE best Brown Ale I have tasted so far. It has lots and lots of roasted malt, notes of chocolate and coffee, and a lot of hops, that gives a very nice, spicy bitterness. It’s well balanced, naughty and flashy and deserves a high rating, even if you could say, that it is a bit untrue to the type...
