Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Pours a nice deep brown colour with a big creamy light brownish head. Aroma of hops, well toasted malt, caramel and some chocolate. The flavour is quite hoppy with toasted malt and caramel, chocolate and coffee. Sweet bitter hoppy finish. TASTY!

LCRBM2: Huge vinous aroma with raisin. Nutty bitter flavor. There was too little beer left to get a really good impression, but the aroma was great. Need a re-rate on this one. (8 3 6 3 14 = 3.4) And here it is.... Bottle from the brewmaster himself. Malt, cacao and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with cacao and a firm herbal hopbitter explosion in which I even can trace grapefruit and blackcurrant. A flavor bomb, very well made.

A Mes rate: Draught at Ølfestival 2007. Redish brown amber colour with a good tan head. Usual surprising hoppy note to the nose with some nice alcoholic maltyness and German like cereal hints. Hops are there in the flavour too but not quite so upfront giving centre stage instead to some wonderful roasty coffee character and chewy rubber. Bitterness comes in like a punch at the finish. Awesome. Another cracker from Mikkeller.

Hazy brown with creamy beige head. Aroma of cascade, roasted malts and lots of cocoa/chocolate. Super mouthfeel. Taste has lots of chocolate and quite bitter at the end.

Bottle. Poured a medium to deeper and hazy reddish brown color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of roast, pine, coffee with cream, and chocolate. Tastes of coffee, roast, dark chocolate, floral hoppiness, and maybe some citrus. Light lacing left on a glass. For a brown ale, this one was pretty good.

Bottle at home and about 25 other tastes on my travels round europe. Alroud rating: Bready brown ale and roasted malts, some chocolate and coffee can be found, but i had to search for it, the hopping is more than id expect from a brown ale. Alround drinkable stuff.
