Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Jackie Amber is a hoppy addition to a traditionally unhoppy style. Huge khaki head and incredible lacing accompany a dark amber body (yes, not a lot of brown in Jackie Brown). Chocolate, smoke, and roasted nuts are evident but their is a unique hop bitterness that lingers on the palate long after the tasting. Interesting.

Crushed with Jakebra. Just about the best brown ale I’ve ever had. Robust as fuckin hell. Beautiful in every way. Lots of bittering hops that are overwhelming at first then mellow into something incredibly pleasing. Just great.

Nice dark brown color, medium brown head. Distinct coffee aroma. A little coffee, and alot of bitterness in the taste, not what I expected at all. a little smokey in the finish, nice beer, but not great.

pours brown with a large creamy tan head, excellent lacing.
smell of roasted nuts, malt, cocoa, some coffee, a bit of woodiness in the back.
taste is smooth and creamy, hops, roastiness, malt, bakers chocolate, a splash of espresso, some nuts, end is slightly sour and nicely bitter.

Thanks to Papsoe for this brew. Pours out a darker shade of brown with an off white head. Aroma of nuts, chocolate, coffee and slight bitterness. Flavor is very complex with roasty/nutty flavors in the forefront, coffee in the background and a slight bitter finish. Man I wish this stuff was easier to get in the USA
