Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Pours a clear brown with a thick tan head. A little bit of a sweet aroma. Some nice nutty flavor, some sweet malt, and a lot of bitterness. Interesting to have such a hoppy brown, the bitterness definitely wins out in the end.

66 cl bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temp in a tulip glass. JN21/07.

App.: Deep red-copper, clear, decent light mocha head. Aroma: Skunky dark coffee, some green hops, coffee and dark chocolate. Palate: Medium-full body, moderate carbonation and slight astringency. Flav.: Green coffee beans, dark chocolate, French roast coffee, light nuttiness; finish is dry with decent lingering bitterness.

Bottle coutesy Gillard. Pours a clear brown amber with a large light tan head that leaves great lacing. Aroma of coffee, tons of hops, and a hint of licorice. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a moderate to strong amount of bitterness. Good.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, with ruby highlights. Big fluffy white head. Lacing is quite prominent. Aromas of big chocolatey maltiness, plum, caramel, dry oats, slight vanilla. Flavor has roasted soft malts, caramel, some chocolate and a nice Nilla wafer cookie quality. Also a slight lactose. Crisp and drinkable, balanced well.

Flaske. Superdejlig brown ale. Stor duft af humle, og en flot brun farve med dejlige indbydende bobler i skummet. Dejlig balanceret smag der gør den fantastisk drikbar.

Enjoyed at NoogFest III. Hazy chestnut in color. Sweet malt aroma with a pepper hint and lots of roasted grain. Very enjoyable flavor. Very well balanced toasted grain with easy spicy hops. Probably the best brown ale I’ve ever had. Wow! Creamy semi-dry finish. Very nice.
