Roasted malt aroma with notes of coffee, hops, and chocolate cookies. Roasted malt flavor that was semi-sweet and short. Very dry finish with a moderate bitterness and maybe a hint of pine. The bitterness at the end was very long and kept growing. Sammy (4070), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 7, 2008 The aroma is coffee, the taste is creamy sweat coffee. Dark brown. Do you like sweet coffee? This is it. Roasty. Drinkable and refreshing on a hot day. Cocoa is distant,as is licorice. It’s hoppy-it’s a portery stouty brown ale, with low bitterness. Deep mahogany pour, clear, smallish frothy beige head. Aroma - first impression, dry, nutty, dark chocolate, low-level dry resin hops - really good, made me look forward to the taste. And the taste - yummmmm - lush dry green resin hops, dry cocoa and nutshell malt, no alcohol presence - has a long, dry, bitter finish - lovely. Average body, astringent, long, long bitter nutshell linger. Bloody freakin’ marvelous! Radek Kliber (4000), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 20, 2007 This brown ale pours a medium brown color from a 22oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is nutty, maple sugar and sweet. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and roasty, but not very sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Very unlike a brown ale, its not very sweet and has an exceptional crisp and dry finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. jerc (3964), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
