Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Very nice dark brown yet see through pour, with a nice off white head with some nice lacing on my glass. Nice roasted malt aroms with a good dose of hops, and a touch of chocolate, and even some tobacco. Oh wow.....the flavour is incredible. Lots of hops, but the sweet malt, and chocolate stick around with some very nice coffee undertones. The typical brown ale caramel flavour is there, and it mingles with the chocolate, and the hops beautifully. I could drink this all day, this is an incredible beer! another triumph for Mikkeller!

Nice and opaque, brown, muddy beer with a fine beige, everlasting head. The aroma is very good even though it is this beer’s vulnerable point, and has lot of sweet chocolate, and aroma hops. The flavor is just perfect for a brown ale. As always with Mikkellers beer (although I have only thried 3 different), there is a distinct hops profile from the start to the end, and in every little "corner" of this beer’s oily and full-bodied palate the hops are obvious. There is a lot of chocolate, both the dark bitter version and some sweet chocolate, but also a subdued amount of coffee, and a very nice bitter hops finish.

16.9 oz longneck bottle. Rich thick brown black colors, with some orange corners where the light can get through. Decent head. Amazingly fresh aroma of syrupy hops. The taste is quite nice and hoppy as well, with no spiciness, just an earthy sweet bitterness. This beer is awesome, maybe the best brown ale I’ve ever had. The malts are there, they just happen to be perfectly balanced with the unapologetic hops. Bittersweet dark malt aftertaste. Another amazing beer from Mikkeller.

Bottle at Nørrebro Bryghus. Deep burgundy red with a great khaki head. The nose promises chocolate, berries, citrus and everything that is good in beer. The flavours do deliver with a great hop bitterness that leaves the mouth very dry. Good body, a bit sirupy. One of the best beers I have tasted for some time.

Super tasty, rich toasted coffee/chocolate malt, nice use of hops....well done brown ale!! The hop addition, like Brooklyn’s Brown version, does the brown ale genre justice....Well worth the money!!

I’ve always maintained that brown al;es are just plain boring. This beer has completely changed my perceptions. Medium brown in colour, it is deceptively pale for the depth of aroma and flavour that it holds. I mean really, I did not expect anything like the flavour hit that this beer has. The bitterness in this beer is just like that of dark chocolate, it’s just so pleasant and integrated. Wonderful nutty malt flavours, a little bit of coffee and all sorts of goodness coming from the very subtle hop additions. Just a fantastically balanced beer.
