Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Courtesy of after4ever and shared with after4ever and bitbucket. Pours a clear deep dark brown with frothy off white head. The aroma is roasted malts mixed with brown sugar and mild caramel. It then moves more roasty and burnt as opposed to sweet. The taste is smooth and starts with roasted malts along with a mild malt astringency. It then becomes mildly sweet but with even more roasted malts than the early part of the taste. Into the finish I get more malt astringency that is just right for the style.

Bottle. Glossy tar with a woolly tan head tufting the glass; faint ruby glints against the light. Aroma straight grapefruit and lychee to begin with, blending into chocolate ice cream, Bovril and burnt toast. Slick, burnt and punching; grapefruit bitterness; high cocoa, tonic water and incinerated pistachio in a deep, resonating finish. Silky and integrated, especially the dregs. Very good. At least as good as Mostodolce Jacky Brown.

I have to agree with my esteemed friend, stoutlover’s comments below: This is a brown ale? Wow. Great chocolate aroma with a dose of hops. Dark brown with a slight head. The palate is incredibly full for this style. Yeasty, hoppy, and malty flavors combine for a complex and wonderfull experience. A million thanks to Sliffy for sharing.

Acquired via trade from Maria-A great suprise! What a complex beer this is! Pour was a dark brown with a thin white ring for a head with decent lacing. The aroma was floral hops. The taste started bitter and hoppy but by swallow hints of roasted malt and coffee took over. The aftertaste was like a dry iced tea. Awesome!
