Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Draught
Dark brown color. Delicate aroma, of cappuccino and chocolate. Full mouthfeel, well malty, with a good mix of caramel, roasted malt and hop. Long and strong final, based on the milky, coffeish roasted malt. Very good.

Bottle sampled on 3/12/07: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a frothy, well-lacing tan head. Big, fresh piny hoppy and milk chocolatey aroma. Body starts fairly full with a light earthy caramel sweetness with lots of piny bitterness toward a big, lingering roasty finish. A very nice brown ale.

500ml Bottle: Aroma of roasting, chocolate, citrus hops, astringent, and licorice. Poured dark brown/mahogany in color with a huge, foamy, dense, rocky, beige head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of medium-sized particles. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, citrus hops, and bittersweet sugar. Medium body. Sticky, chalky texture. Average to lively carbonation. Bitter, roasted, chocolate, finish is nice and dry.

LCRBM2: Huge vinous aroma with raisin. Nutty bitter flavor. There was too little beer left to get a really good impression, but the aroma was great. Need a re-rate on this one. (8 3 6 3 14 = 3.4) And here it is.... Bottle from the brewmaster himself. Malt, cacao and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with cacao and a firm herbal hopbitter explosion in which I even can trace grapefruit and blackcurrant. A flavor bomb, very well made.

Bottled: Huge foamy, off-white head, dark brown color. Aroma with intensive notes of oat, roasted malt, toffee, light hints of chocolate and some coffee. Taste is light malty with caramel notes, roast bitter, fruity with notes of citrus and a coffee and roasted malt bitterness. Intensive bitter hop notes in the end, very dry biter finish.

Off-white head hung around for a while on top of a reddy brown body. Good blend of coffee, choc, malt and noticeable hops on the aroma which carries through to the taste well.

(bottle, 33cl) Darkest brown colour with a light ruby shine and a small beige foamy head. Sweet and deep strongly roasted malt profile in the nose with notes of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, nettles and a tinge of fruity hops in the back. Moderately sweet and roasty bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Quite dry mouthfeel, robust roast-malty taste with notes of milky mocha, chocolate, liquorice and an aromatic presence of subtle fruity hops in the background; pretty dry and roasty bitter and hoppy finish. Very nice, makes me think of a slightly diluted Imp. Stout. 15.XI.09
