My nose is met by roasted malt, lots of it, chocolate, coffee and yeast. The flavour is wonderful and perhaps THE best Brown Ale I have tasted so far. It has lots and lots of roasted malt, notes of chocolate and coffee, and a lot of hops, that gives a very nice, spicy bitterness. It’s well balanced, naughty and flashy and deserves a high rating, even if you could say, that it is a bit untrue to the type... Phil (100), Kent, England

Simple as that... a seriously great beer! I love brown ales, and this is undoubtably my fave. I sat and watched jackie brown whilst drinking this, and the only bad bit was having to get up to turn the DVD over (yeah, I know, how old!) This beer is has so many varied notes - the standard roasty/toasty bits, even smoke! I love the finish! Ate some cheese with, an aged gruyere... went well! GG (1640), NorCal, California, USA

If all brown ales were this intense they might actually be worth something to seek out!!! HUGE aroma of espresso, roasted malts and hops. Tastes were exploding with the rasins, coffee, hops and toasted bread. This is an incredible beer. I’m only sad to say that, like the others, I highly doubt this will see my neck ’o the woods anytime soon. IPAaLLtHEwAY (136), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour PJClarke (682), London, Greater London, England

Surprsingly hoppy, though still very light on the nose. Light roasted malt notes also. In the mouth the hops are still apparent. VEry floral and tingly. Great deep, powdery chocolate and almost burnt topnotes. Very nice, deep & ashy roast. A really nice beer gives a great depth of flavour whilst remaining highly drinkable. Love it. tipsytoad (84), Jersey

Taste moves from slightly burnt toast to hints of chocolate and coffee, finishing with those amarillo and centennial hops, and an expresso bitterness. Fab! Bockyhorsey (2528), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Full bodyied brew with the creamy chcocolate flavor. Coffee also stood out in the flavor as well. Little biter in the end but this on was smooth on the palate. Good brew. 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

The beer pours to a red-hued brown body with a really creamy tan head and spotty lacing. The aroma is grainy. Fresh, crisp, clean barley, chocolate malt. Some pine/spruce hops. The flavor is crisp, barley, chocolate, light dry black patent, hoppy pine needles. The flavors and aromas are nicely blended. The palate is creamy, bitter, dry on the finish. This is definitely a phenomenal brown ale. Thanks for sharing Jason!
