Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Thick rich chewy chocaltey malt aroma with plenty of citrus hop character in the nose. Opaque brown body is topped by a decent and lasting tan head that leaves some spotty lacing. Thick round malt flavours offer chocolate and biscuit and toasty notes coupled with fairly assertive bitterness. Medium body with pleasantly prickly carbonation. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature Bottle (Tappet den 01 08 2006, Holdbar til 01 09 2007). Bieropholie. Jun-07.

Bottle from sk8viking. Chocolate comes through strong in the nose, hints of coffee. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Chocolate malt dominates, sweet up front, finishes with a bit of coffee bitterness (in a good way)

Bottle - Mondial de la Bière, Montréal. Dark brown body with a thick beige frothy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with roasty, caramel and nutty hints. Taste carries roasted coffee, chocolate and flowery notes. Ends with a long bitter/roasty finish. Well done.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with 3-finger tan head. Aroma was roasty malty, with brown sugar, mild chocolate, and mild hops. Tastes rich, roasty malty, with some brown sugary nuts, mild chocolate, and a solid dose of finishing hops. This one is a nice take on a rather boring style.

Bottle. Poured a medium to deeper and hazy reddish brown color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of roast, pine, coffee with cream, and chocolate. Tastes of coffee, roast, dark chocolate, floral hoppiness, and maybe some citrus. Light lacing left on a glass. For a brown ale, this one was pretty good.

This poured a clear reddish brown body with a HUGE rocky, light beige head that coated the glass with thick lacework. The aroma is an interesting blend of yellow grapefruit and citrus zest, bitter nuts, caramelly malts, coffee, and bittersweet chocolate. Nice & crisp sharp flavors reflect the sensations from the nose. The citric and nut bitterness remains a strong constant throughout the drink. Interestingly, a touch of aniseed joins the fray near the finish. Not too shabby.
