Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Very pleasant. Deep brown colour. Nice aromas of coffee, caramel and chocolate, light roasty aromas. These aromas come through in the flavour. The mouthfeel is lightly sweet, lightly roasty and lightly bitter. Very pleasant.

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a huge cream colored head. Toffee and light roast aroma. Nutty, toffee flavor with light hops. Medium bodied. Toffee, nuttiness, and light hops linger.

Pours with a dark brown body with red tinting, topped by an off-white, thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a little fruit and a nice raosty bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied and slightly dry.

The aroma is coffee, the taste is creamy sweat coffee. Dark brown. Do you like sweet coffee? This is it. Roasty. Drinkable and refreshing on a hot day. Cocoa is distant,as is licorice. It’s hoppy-it’s a portery stouty brown ale, with low bitterness.

Brown colored, moderate to large head, solid lacing and retention. Aroma is fairly hoppy with notes of chocolate, caramel and roast. Pretty big aroma and flavor. Clean, somewhat bitter mouthfeel. Big flavors, nice balance, not a lot of complexity. Enjoyable brown though.

Bottle (66 cl) from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark. An American style brown ale with dominant piney hop aromas, and some roasted chocolate notes in the background. If I close my eyes I think I can sense some of those green pepper notes that abound in Beer Geek Breakfeast and Black Hole. Clear reddish brown with a large and long-lasting tan head, medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very bitter finish. Very nice but I would prefer the bitterness and hop aromas to be moderated a bit to give room for a more roasted malt profile.
