Smoky body, chocolate and then freshening hops at the end. Beautiful balance and the aftertaste mixes smoke, coffee and hops. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Wow - very nutty bitter aroma. Very very dark brown with a small slightly off-white head. Taste is incredible - so burnt and so nutty. Toasty. Medium body, nice carbonation and mouthfeel. Perfectly hopped as well. Quite simply one of the best brown ales you’ll ever have - a ton of flavour at 6%. Great, well done Mikkeller. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium

Aroma is one and all coffee, the beer has a fine malty nose and a well integrated touch of black chocolate and some minty herbs. Its remiends me of a well made Irish Coffee without the alcohol attack in the nose. The taste is well in ballans, it has a soft mouthfeel and an elegant smoothness. The beer is malty, has lots of coffee and chocolate hints and also a nice unthelaying structure of mushrooms and forrest soil. Again a very interesting brew from Mikkeller. Taste moves from slightly burnt toast to hints of chocolate and coffee, finishing with those amarillo and centennial hops, and an expresso bitterness. Fab! Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Full bodyied brew with the creamy chcocolate flavor. Coffee also stood out in the flavor as well. Little biter in the end but this on was smooth on the palate. Good brew. 1FastSTi (2579), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

The beer pours to a red-hued brown body with a really creamy tan head and spotty lacing. The aroma is grainy. Fresh, crisp, clean barley, chocolate malt. Some pine/spruce hops. The flavor is crisp, barley, chocolate, light dry black patent, hoppy pine needles. The flavors and aromas are nicely blended. The palate is creamy, bitter, dry on the finish. This is definitely a phenomenal brown ale. Thanks for sharing Jason! highlandlad (1275), Sydney, Australia

Don’t make me put my foot in your ass. What we got here is one hell of a tribute beer from the brothers in Denmark. Now I don’t know much about no muthafuckin’ "brown ales" but I can tell you this here is serious as cancer. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfucker in the room, accept no substitutes. It looks mighty fine - as brown and smooth as a baby’s ass. And if it’s good head you’re after, well mistuh, you come to the right place. Sure smells good. Milo, coffee, maple syrup, all them good things. Mmm-mm. S’all soft and creamy in the mouth like a milk shake. It don’t pussy-foot around, neither - this beer has big fuckin’ flavours that hit ya bang upside the head. Licorice, chocolate milkshake and strong, strong coffee. When I get my shit done for the day and I want to get high, this is the beer I want to have in my fridge. There’s only three reasons why you shouldn’t try this beer. One, you’re in a hospital. Two, you’re in jail. Three, your ass is dead. Booh-yah!
