| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown with ruby hints and a good sized mocha head. Aroma is rich and roasty, with great notes of coffee and chocolate, and a surprising hit of hops. Flavour follows the aroma, with some nice nuttiness coming through before the hops kick in. Seems to be bordering on being a porter, which is fine by me. Great stuff! mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Bottle. Deep garnet body with a medium-sized frothy whitish head. The aroma is full of almonds, chocolate, and coffee roast.
Tastes very roasty in a very well balanced palate. The hop character is quite nice too and quite resiny. Coffee and toffee notes are present at opportune times as well as some of that nutty almond that was in the aroma.
Very drinkable! rickgordon (3321), Göteborg, Sweden

Chocolate and roast, with hints of peanut butter and butter toffee on the finish. Similar in character to Alpha Klaus, with out being as roasty and dark. A really nice example of what Mikkeller is capable of. This beer is very impressive. SSSteve (2099), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
