Commercial Description:
Keller Likes Restsødme is a Keller favorite. The recipe is based on the winning brown ale at the Danish Homebrewing Championship 2005. It's a highly hopped brown ale with roasted character that goes well with the residual malt-sweetness.

Lovely complex malt aromas, light sweet and toasted malts, notes of caramel. Deep chestnut colored body with a small off-white head. Dryish and roasty malt flavor, notes of coffee and with a shot of leafy hops in the end. Quite nice, reminds me a bit of Great Divide Hibernation Ale, which i love.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of thewolf. Pours clear and golden brown with a lovely glare and light brown head. Aroma is smooth hoppy and roasted malty with a light chocolate note. Mild spiced and chocolate flavoured. Goes a lot more intense in chocolate on the back of the tongue. Light spice note into the far finish. Ages with grace!

Bottle. [thank you, henrikb]
Pours deep clear brown with a big, frothy head. Disappears slowly. Super aroma, lots of chocolate and a little dose of coffee. Lightly roasted with slight notes of dried fruits. High carbonation that mars the mouthfeel a bit. Flavour is wonderfully dry and roasted. Some plums and a great, dark chocolate finish. Almost like eaten 80 % cocoa-chocolate. Nice!

Dark brown colored, slight red hints. Medium sized light brown head. Nice rich Mikkeller aroma: good flowery-vegetables, spices, chocolate, mild licorice, this Danish character from hops and yeast nicely present. Medium bodied. Flavor is even richer with strong spicy tones, yeast, aftertaste dries strongly with again this flowery yeast.

Bottled. Dark mahogany colour, rich head. Grapefruity nose. Sweet withsome roasty chocolaty malt. Medium bodied with fairly high carbonation. Lots of aromatic hops supported by firm clean malt. Finishes with medium bitterness. Very hoppy for a brown ale.

Bottled (BB 02/2007)
Dark nut brown color, decent brown head. Cookies, yeast, chocolate, brown sugar in the nose. Lots of cold coffee, coffee beans. Full-bodied. Typical (if there is one) Mikkeller-taste can be traced. Something between Jackie Brown and Beer Geek Breakfast.
