Bouteille olive, 33 cl, meilleure avant 2011, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savourée le 5 novembre 2009; œil : dorée, claire, effervescence minime, mousse blanche crémeuse qui se transforme en un petit anneau, très légère dentelle; nez : beaucoup de houblon résineux, p’tit chausson, léger malt, orange, pin; bouche : beaucoup de houblon résineux, léger p’tit chausson, léger malt, pin, finale courte et sèche en houblon résineux, pas malt astringente, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, pas mal amère; en résumé : bien DaSilky1 (1924), San Diego, California, USA Nov 4, 2009 Bottle from the Super Jr. Market: Pours an aggressive shade of orange..mystified with haziness, topped with everlasting thickness of a creamy persuasion. Nose smelled of maturity, surprisingly...slow roasted orange, freshly whipped cream, parfait, creamcyles...something orange. Hop flavors taste diminished...but body is still there. No idea how long this was on the counter...but, even with age, this ipa tastes nicely refined. THe flavors here are sweeter and more akin to jasmine flowers than what a fresh cascade would give out...but regardless, it still tastes mighty fine. I’ll try some fresh(er) at some point, I hope...and will re-rate. cederdorff (11), holstebro, Denmark Nov 4, 2009 citrus, golden, cloudy, white foam, tan foam, medium sweetness, very bitter, light body, sticky, lively, bitter, long finish, topherh (878), Kearney, Missouri, USA Nov 1, 2009 Pours orange with an off white head. Aroma is citrus, grass, and a bit of malt. Flavor is pineapple hops, ripe fruits, floral notes, and sweet caramel. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 1, 2009 Courtesy of Blazer06. Pours copper with gold edges with frothy light tan head. The aroma carries the classic cascade hoppiness with adequate spices, earthiness and solid citrus. I really enjoy cascade hops. The taste is similar with a very pleasing mix of spicy hops, earthiness and a juice glass full of orange to tangelo citrusy goodness. In the background are notes of sweet malts and a mild touch of caramel. BeerandBlues2 (3190), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 1, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy amber with an average, frothy white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cereal, meal), heavy hop (flowers, pine, grass, resin, citrus), heavy yeast (sweat, soap, earth) with notes of apple, pear, and apricot. Medium bodied, mineral texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. Spicy bite. washoppinin (19), Florida, USA Oct 30, 2009 Low price to quality ratio. Expected more complexity. But for a single hop, it shows off the bitter lemon citric characteristics. Poured a frothy head.
